I’m a bit of a klutz, and handling thin glass while stamping felt like an accident waiting to happen. So, I began searching for a proper large block and spent quite a while comparing options and reading reviews. I couldn’t decide between the large and extra-large versions, especially since I wanted something versatile without overspending. Strangely enough, the extra-large block was priced lower than the large one, which made the decision easier. I went with the extra-large, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. After seeing several negative reviews for this stamp set, I decided to test them out immediately, just in case I’d need to return them. To my surprise, my experience was completely positive from start to finish. I use rubber stamps regularly in my art journals, so I tried these on different types of paper as well as on mixed-media journal pages layered with gesso, acrylic paints, inks, and stains. I experimented with a variety of ink pads — Ranger Archival, VersaFine, VersaMagic chalk, Tim Holtz Distress, Memento, and StazOn—and every one of them produced crisp, clean impressions. On plain paper, the results were perfect, and even on heavily painted pages, the stamps performed beautifully once I dried the ink with a heat tool. The texture and detail of the designs really shine through, making them ideal for creating unique and artistic backgrounds. I did discover that the key to perfect stamping with this type of rubber is to dab the ink onto the stamp rather than pressing the stamp onto the pad, which ensures an even coating without blotches. The stamps also clean up easily, which is a huge plus when working with multiple inks and surfaces. Overall, I’m thrilled with how versatile and high-quality this set is. I hope this helps other artists who might be hesitant — these stamps are an absolute pleasure to use and deliver results far better than expected
